Alessa Gillespie

Alessa was a kind, but troubled girl who was the subject of constant ridicule by her classmates for being born out of wedlock. Her mother, Dahlia, refused to give the name of her illegitimate father, which led to poor Alessa being declared a witch. Escaping to the bathroom on one such occasion led to an even greater tragedy for Alessa. Colin, the janitor of her school, molested her there. This caused Cristabella, the leader of a local cult, to insist that Alessa be "purified".

Her mother finally gave in and led Alessa to the Grand Hotel, where the church held their cleansing ritual. The ritual for purifying Alessa backfired and caused the town to burn and Alessa to be hospitalized. Nurses did what they could, but Alessa would never be the same.

Alessa could never forgive the town for what they did to her. She was an innocent little girl and they caused her pain and suffering beyond imagining. Her only wish was for those responsible to understand her pain.
