Critters or Krites are a misunderstood bunch of intergalactic misfits. They are ruthlessly chased down by bounty hunters, and their only crime is existing. The poor things are just trying to find a place to call home that has the food they need.
They eventually slipped away from the bounty hunters long enough to find Earth. it happened to have a huge supply of their favorite food and Grover's Bend, Kansas looked promising. They were not, however, welcomed by their neighbors, and the bounty hunters had caught up with them again. They decided it was time to leave and make a new start elsewhere.
They eventually wound up in L. A. and inhabited a low-rent apartment building. They were treated no better than in Grover's Bend. They had to fend for themselves, but at least their food supply was available.
They had to flee that home as well when the bounty hunters caught up with them again. It seems they would never be allowed to exist on Earth so they took residence in a spaceship. It was a little crowded there and once again the ruthless bounty hunters found them. Will there ever be a place these critters can call home?
