John Doe

Little is known about John Doe , including his name, and that's how he liked it. John believed that who he was did not matter; only the word of God. He was a very religious man and was revolted by the self-glorification of a sinful world. Doe believed that the human race, in the divine scheme of things, is a pathetic shadow of what we could have been, if we had not Fallen.

His door is secured with multiple bolts and locks, his windows are blacked out and there are religious icons and books everywhere to protect him against the world and its sins.

John felt it was his personal mission to help people realize their sins and atone for them. He even had quite a few success stories until a couple of detectives decided to meddle. They didn't understand John and didn't appreciate his trying to do their job in ridding the world of sin.

John tried to focus primarily on the seven deadly sins. They were Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Pride, Lust, Envy, and Wrath. He was determined to help people who were guilty of these atone for them. Detective Somerset did not trust John but never thought he was insane for what he believed. Detective Mills on the other hand had a temper and decided John was a psychopath. John determined that Det. Mills was guilty of Wrath and decided to help him. Mills finally realized his sin, but it was too late for John.

He just wanted to help people and was never quite understood.

"Nothing wrong with a man taking pleasure in his work. I won't deny my own personal desire to turn each sin against the sinner. "
~John Doe
