Rhoda Penmark was a well-mannered, courteous and polite little lady. She was adored and doted on by her father and mother, and was the perfect little girl.
Rhoda was smart and got along well in school. She expected to win the class penmenship award, but her classmate, Claude Daigle, won it instead. This made Rhoda sad and she went to talk to Claude about it. Of course Rhoda was as polite as could be, but Claude just wouldn't hear anything she had to say. Eventually she convinced Claude to give her the medal he had won as the reward. Afterall, she did write the best hand.
