Poltergeists

These poor souls were trapped in the Freeling's house unable to move on because houses were built on their resting place. This caused a void between our world and the after-life were the souls of all the people buried were trapped. They did find one way to cross over, through a little girl, Carol Anne Freeling. She was born in that house which meant she could lead them to the light. The peace they longed for could have been theirs at last, if only she would have led them.

Poltergeists

Carol Anne was ok with it at first. She would play with them and talk to them. Then she changed her mind and didn't want to help them. They pleaded with her, explaining why they needed her to help, but she would not. One spirit in particular, Kane, tried to persuade Carol Anne many times, but still she refused.

The Freeling's brought in paranormal investigators to help get rid of the spirits and lay them to rest, but they didn't understand that only Carol Anne could do that. The Poltergeists (as the investigators called them) tried to explain this to all of them, but no one would listen.

Poltergeists

The investigators eventually brought in Tangina. A renowned psychic who claimed to be able to lead them to the light. The spirits wanted to believe that there was another who could lead them, but Kane was not convinced and asked Tangina to leave them alone.

Carol Anne eventually went to live with an Aunt and Uncle to get away from them, but they followed. They tried explaining to them that she was the only person who could lead them to rest. Carol Anne still refused to help them.

They just wanted to find peace at last, but no matter who they asked, no one would help them convice Carol Anne to lead them.

"You can't keep her..."
~Kane
