Babies in Horror Movies

Babies are almost always portrayed as cute and innocent in movies. Loveable little angels, defenseless against evil.

Legends of Horror takes a different view on the little ones. Here are a few films that show babies as not so innocent and definitely not so cute.

		Rosemary's Baby
		After moving into a creepy old apartment in Manhattan with her husband Guy, Rosemary Woodhouse begins to experience odd, unpleasant things happening to her. Then Rosemary gets pregnant after a bad dream in which a horrible creature makes love to her. The only solution is, as the tag-line says, to "pray for Rosemary's baby."
		The Omen
		Gregory Peck is the ambassador to Italy who's wife has a stillborn child. Without telling his wife he substitutes another baby as theirs. A few years go by, and strange events - and the ominous warnings of a priest - lead him to believe that the child he took from that Italian hospital is evil incarnate.
		It's Alive!
		The Davies expect a baby, which turns out to be a monster with a nasty habit of killing when it's scared. And it's easily scared.
		Born
		Mary Elizabeth goes to bed alone one night, still a 21 year old virgin, and wakes up the next morning ...pregnant. Possessed by the demon fetus growing within her womb, Mary Elizabeth obeys her homicidal cravings to kill...for the sake of her unborn spawn.
		Dead Alive
		A young man's mother is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey. She gets sick and dies, at which time she comes back to life, killing and eating dogs, nurses, friends, and neighbors.
